Download and reinstall the Creative Cloud desktop app.

  1. Run the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to remove the current installation of the Creative Cloud desktop app. See Run the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.

  2. In the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, choose option 3: Creative Cloud 2017,2015, 2014, Creative Cloud & CS6 Products. Then, choose option 1: Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop.

    Note:

    If you get This folder is currently in use error while trying to rename the folder, do the following:

    • Close all the Adobe applications running on your system.
    • Check if any of the following background processes are running and close them:

    Creative Cloud, Adobe Desktop Service, CCXProcess, CCLibrary, CoreSync, CoreSync helper, Adobe IPC Broker, armsvc, AGS Service

  3. Download and reinstall the Creative Cloud desktop app.

Create a new local user account with administrator privileges, and log in using that account. Then download and reinstall the Creative Cloud desktop app.
