Downloaded the iso image and proceeded to make a Mac OS X bootable USB on windows. To create a bootable media to install Mac OS X leopard on my old macbook A1181. I used imageusb and installed. I was very happy to find this 10.5.4 version which worked perfectly. Many thanks to all. I’m afraid it’s very hard to track down a copy of Mac OS X 10.5 on disk these days! Luckily, one of my favourite websites for Mac software, Macintosh Garden, has copies of OS X all the way from 10.1 to 10.5.6 available for free download.

You can upgrade to macOS High Sierra from OS X Mountain Lion or later on any of the following Mac models. Your Mac also needs at least 2GB of memory and 14.3GB of available storage space.
